Inviting and nuanced this wine shows sophisticated notes of blackberry, dark plum and violets with cinnamon spice and clove. It’s stunning on the palate with exuberant wild berries, juicy red fruit, and hints of cinnamon. A supple and lingering finish cascades down the palate and make you want to come back for more.
Drink with cassoulet or baked camembert with dried fruits and nuts.
The cool climate of the Edna Valley is at the limit of where great Rhône-style wines can be made. Our Rhônes favor complexity and texture rather than the jammy fruit-forwardness of their warmer-climate brethren. These wines are much more northern Rhône than southern Rhône in style. Rich in black fruit, game and spice aromatics, with big, broad tannins.
