The 2024 Califa Pinot Noir opens with bright, expressive aromatics—think ripe raspberry pie, fresh Bing cherry, and a hint of milk chocolate wrapped in gentle toasty oak. The palate is lively and energetic, driven by vibrant acidity and a juicy core of red fruit. A silky texture and fine tannins carry everything into a long, fresh finish. It’s a classic Pinot Noir at heart—balanced, lifted, and effortlessly elegant.
Lush yet delicately poised, it pairs perfectly with creamy brie or tender lamb shank.
Much of the fruit for our Califa bottling comes from the eastern slopes of our famed Morrito block so it shares some of the characteristics of our flagship pinot. We also blend in fruit from some of the best blocks on the northern edge of our property to make this wine a little more forward and open.
