This wine offers a beautifully nuanced experience with its sophisticated notes of blackberry, dark plum, and violets, complemented by subtle hints of cinnamon spice and clove. On the blend of exuberant wild berries, juicy red fruit, and delicate traces of cinnamon, creating a harmonious fusion of sweet and spicy elements. The wine’s supple and lingering finish cascades down the palate, leaving a memorable impression that beckons for another sip.
Pair it with cassoulet for a hearty, savory match, or opt for baked Camembert with dried fruits and nuts to bring out the wine’s complexity, making it a delightful companion for your dining experience.
The cool climate of the Edna Valley is at the limit of where great Rhône-style wines can be made. Our Rhônes favor complexity and texture rather than the jammy fruit-forwardness of their warmer-climate brethren. These wines are much more northern Rhône than southern Rhône in style. Rich in black fruit, game and spice aromatics, with big, broad tannins.
