Indulge in the refined elegance of our Estate Rosé of Grenache, crafted from our estate vineyards in the heart of San Luis Obispo. This captivating rosé unfolds with delicate aromas of white peach, green strawberry, and white flowers, seamlessly intertwined with the crisp minerality of wet stone and a touch of briny salinity. Extended lees contact enhances its texture, adding depth and a subtle creaminess, while vibrant natural acidity provides focus and length.
This is beautifully balanced, food-friendly wine, perfect for pairing with fresh coastal fare like oysters, caviar, or lightly grilled seafood.
Coming off the heels of the largest crop in recent history, the vines responded with more modest yields in 2024. Budbreak occurred around the typical timeframe in late February, though early signs of uneven growth were evident across different blocks and varieties. A hard frost during the first weekend of April caused some damage in low-lying Pinot Noir blocks, but fortunately, the timing was early enough in the season for the vines to recover with minimal loss.
A cool, windy spring led to berry shatter and uneven fruit set, resulting in smaller cluster weights—especially in Pinot Noir. However, the cooler temperatures and steady winds kept mildew pressure low, a welcome shift from the challenges of 2023. As harvest approached, ideal sunny and warm conditions prevailed. The vines held up well through an early September heat spell, which helped ripen the slower-developing Rhône varieties.
While lower-yielding vintages like 2024 can be difficult for farmers, they often bring a silver lining—exceptional quality. Smaller clusters and berries concentrate fruit flavors and aromas, creating wines with remarkable depth and character. Already, the wines from this vintage are showing outstanding balance and elegance, and we can’t wait to share them with you.
