As the summer heat begins to wane and the first hints of autumn fill the air at Chamisal, our winemaking and viticulture teams are preparing for the most exciting time of year: the harvest season. This period marks the culmination of our hard work and dedication, transforming the efforts of our labor into the exceptional wines you love.
Our vineyards are now ripe with grapes ready to be handpicked, each cluster representing the potential of the new vintage. This annual event transcends the mere act of harvesting; it’s a celebration of the Earth’s abundance and our commitment to excellence in winemaking. Every inch of our winemaking process, spanning our cellar floor to our picking bins, is being meticulously prepared by our viticulture and winemaking teams to ensure everything is spotless and ready for the first harvest pick.
During this time, we are reminded of the delicate balance and care that goes into each bottle. From the careful monitoring of weather conditions to the precise timing of the harvest, every step is crucial in ensuring that the quality of our wines remains exceptional.
Harvest also signals the release of our September club wines. This month features our highly anticipated 2022 Califa Pinot Noir, 2022 Califa Chardonnay, and 2022 San Luis Obispo Coast Estate Grenache. All three wines are perfect for celebrating the upcoming seasons, and I can’t wait for you to experience them. We look forward to seeing you soon.
