Our vines made great progress this summer, and began veraison, which represents the stage of maturation from berry growth to berry ripening, in late July. Year after year, veraison is our cue that harvest is almost here, sparking excitement among our members and teammates. Our winemaking and viticulture teams have been working hard this summer to prepare our cellar for the hustle and bustle that lies ahead. We look forward to sharing more harvest updates with you as we dive into the last few weeks of our 2022 growing season.
We hope your summer was relaxing and that you were able take a break and recharge. Member events are back at Chamisal and we were honored to welcome the return of our summer Lobster Fest. Members received premier access to our event in July and we sold out in 48 hours! Ticket holders feasted on hand-shucked oysters and a delicious lobster boil, paired with our Chamisal wines. Live music and dancing under the moonlight finished the evening. Don’t forget to take a look at our event calendar for upcoming events.
The fall club release is upon us and features our 2020 Califa Pinot Noir, 2020 Califa Chardonnay and 2020 Rita’s Crown Chardonnay (Rare Release and Premier member exclusive). All three wines are a delight, and we can’t wait to share them with you.
