Winemaking update

With longer days and golden light lingering into the evening, we’re excited to share your first release of spring, along with a thoughtful update to one of your favorite wines. This shipment includes four bottles of our 2025 Chamisal Estate Rosé, now presented under the Chamisal Vineyards label. While the look has evolved, what’s inside remains the vibrant, expressive rosé of Grenache you know and love.

This transition brings the wine back to its roots at Chamisal, where it has always originated. The updated label more clearly reflects that connection, tying it to the place and practices that have shaped it from the beginning. As part of your membership, you can also customize your shipment by exploring additional Chamisal favorites, from the elegant Califa Pinot Noir to our Chardonnays, and tailor your selection to suit your table.

In the glass, the 2025 vintage is as compelling as ever, with grapefruit, jasmine, and young strawberry leading the way. Bright acidity and a soft, textured palate keep everything lively, while a touch of lees contact and partial malolactic fermentation bring balance to that coastal freshness. A subtle hint of new oak adds lift and complexity, carrying through to a long, easy finish. It’s a natural pairing for chilled shrimp, fresh crab, or a classic Niçoise on a sunny afternoon.
