April Release
As spring unfolds on in SLO, our vineyard awakens with fresh energy. The longer days and sunlit evenings are bringing new life to the estate, marked by budbreak and the vibrant green of cover crops flourishing between the rows. This year, we’ve welcomed a flock of sheep to help tend to the vineyard, grazing through the rows to manage the growth and naturally enrich the soil, a time-honored practice that keeps the ecosystem in balance.
This time of year always feels like a renewal, and with it comes a new chapter for our Malene Wine Club. We’re thrilled to announce the release of our 2024 Malene Estate Rosé of Grenache. Crafted from what may be the only vineyard block in California planted specifically for rosé, this wine is the pure expression of our dedication to quality and nuance.
Treating these vines with the same care as our finest whites, we’ve crafted a rosé that’s anything but typical. Aromas of white peach, green strawberry, and delicate white flowers rise from the glass, grounded by wet stone minerality and a hint of sea breeze salinity. A touch of new oak and extended lees contact impart a subtle, supple texture, while vibrant natural acidity keeps the palate lively and fresh.
In addition to this exciting new release, club members with revisit some of their favorites and have the opportunity to customize their orders by adding Chamisal Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, perfect complements to your spring and summer gatherings.
This release is a celebration of the season, bright, textured, and unmistakably Malene. As you gather with friends and family to enjoy coastal fare and the warm glow of spring evenings, we hope this rosé finds its way to your table, bringing a taste of our vineyard to your glass.
